My wife and I use the crock pot a lot. It’s easier to do since we’re gone about 10 hours a day for work.
The barbecue chicken breasts last night cooked too long to slice so I made it a pulled-chicken bbq.
Add a salad (with lots of cheese) and some sweet potato tots and... mmmm...
Don’t mind the spill on the counter.

We had homemade alfredo sauce on spaghetti rigati. I did not take a picture of it.
Never got into crock pot cooking. What else do you make besides meat with a sauce on it?

Post up some of your best crockpot recipes - we’re always looking for good ones that add some variety. One of my favorites is crazy simple:
3-4 Chicken breasts
1 bottle Frank’s Red Hot
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix
Mix the ranch mix and red hot together with a whisk and pour over the chicken. Cook on low for 8 hours, then shred chicken when you get home.
Delicious by itself with a veggie on the side, or great on a sandwich with a little cheese.

We use the crock pot a lot because of soccer practice on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. I have never been a fan of chicken in the crock pot. It always seems to come out tough and dry. Perhaps I’m doing it wrong.

Italian-style vegetable soup:

2 large cloves garlic, crushed
2 large stalks celery, sliced or diced
1 bay leaf
Salt, Pepper, oregano to taste
Put these ingredients in crock pot and cook on high for 2-3 hours or until carrots are soft. Then add:
1 large head escarole, rough chopped
5-6 large basil leaves, rough chopped
1 (15 oz) can Cannelini beans, drained
1 12-oz box of small pasta (elbow mac, rotini, penne)
and cook on low for another hour or so.
garnish with shredded parmesan and serve.

Get a roll of biscuit dough (or make dumpling-type dough with Bisquick), line your crock with olive oil and place your dough into the crock, pushing it into the corners to fill the base of the crock pot. Then, add your pizza sauce, pepperoni, cheese, etc. and cook on high for two hours. Bam. Pizza.

Lasagna is very good this way too, but you’ll want to use pre-cooked or no-cook noodles. You’ll start the bottom layer with your sauce and cheese, then alternate with noodles and filling. I think that will take 4 hours on low.

Crock pot chicken is hard. It either ends up dry or unevenly cooked. We start with frozen chicken breasts and make sure everything is covered with liquid. When it runs for 10 hours it’s really hard to make it come out right.

I struggle with chicken in the crockpot as well. The chicken always gives off so much liquid that it messes with the sauce. Never turns out as good as we hoped.

I have both a crock pot and a pressure cooker, and use both fairly frequently. Probably one of the things I do most frquently is pork butt. Put the butt in the crock pot from frozen and cook on low for 8-12 hours (depending on size). This can just be turned into chunks or if you want you can shred for pulled pork.
Similarly easy is pot roast in the crock pot. That only needs to cook a few hours though. Throw the potatoes in when you start, and the others veggies (like celery and carrots) in when you have about an hour left.
